MAURA KELLER QUALIFIES FOR THE DEMOCRATIC PRIMARY IN GEORGIA’S 3RD CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT AS THE ONLY FEMALE CANDIDATE

--

Atlanta, GA - Last week, Maura Keller officially qualified to run for Georgia's 3rd Congressional District as a Democratic candidate. The primary for this race will be held on Tuesday, May 21st, 2024. Maura, a retired Lieutenant Colonel in the Army, independent contractor for the Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness, and Nuclear Medicine Technologist at Atlanta’s VA, is excited to put her lifetime of experience to use by serving the people of District 3

After qualifying, Maura sent a clear message to the residents she hopes to represent: “District 3 has been continually underserved by a string of politicians who care more about party lines than the real people they are supposed to represent. It’s time for change, and I hope to be the representative leading this in Georgia. As the only woman running in this race, and the first woman to ever hold this office, I fully intend to make history in 2024. I would be honored to represent District 3 in Congress, and I hope to have your support as we flip this seat.”

Maura’s platform covers a range of issues that she believes directly affect the constituents in District 3, including: economic equity, reproductive healthcare and women’s rights, accessible healthcare, voting rights, aging with dignity, veteran rights, LGBTQ+ equality, gun safety, and more. “I’ve spent my entire life and career serving others, enrolling in the Army as a military policewoman in 1978, and finishing as a healthcare worker for our Veterans,” said Maura Keller. “I’ve seen firsthand the hardships, the poverty, and the lack of resources available in our area, and I am committed to giving the people of District 3 everything they need to thrive.”
