Maura Keller stands for service, dedication, and progress. Born in South Weymouth, Massachusetts, and residing in Fayetteville, Georgia for 28 years, Maura's life has been a testament to the power of hard work and helping others. She and her husband, David, share 4 children, 2 grandchildren, and 2 dogs. Maura’s story is not just of personal achievement but also of a steadfast dedication to serving her country and her community.
Enlisting in the United States Army as a Military Policewoman in 1978, Maura quickly recognized the need for change. She rose through the ranks, becoming an Officer and eventually retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel after 26 years of service. Her military career was distinguished by numerous honors, including the General Douglas MacArthur Leadership Award, exemplifying her commitment to leadership and excellence.
After retiring from the Army, Maura became a government contractor working to improve the efficiency of our forces. She worked on projects with the Office of the Chief of the Army Reserve and the Under Secretary of the Department of Defense for Personnel and Readiness.
Committed to Veterans
Maura's passion for service did not end with her military career. She later pursued another degree as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, which allowed Maura to provide essential care to our veterans at Atlanta’s VA hospital.
Her work with the Atlanta Veterans Affairs Healthcare System underscores her continued commitment to providing outstanding care for veterans and veteran interests.
Today, as a candidate for Georgia's 3rd Congressional District, Maura is ready to bring her wealth of experience, her ability to speak truth to power, and her drive for meaningful progress to Washington, D.C. She stands firm in her commitment to advocate for reproductive freedom, economic opportunity, accessible healthcare, veterans' rights, and the safeguarding of social security.
